Community Tenures Forester:
Tanizul is currently looking to fill an exciting new position, that of the Community Tenures Forester.  This is a permanent, full time position for a forester (RPF).  We may also consider appropriately experienced registered forest technologists (RFTs) or foresters in training (FITs) for this position.
This position includes a great variety of planning and field work associated with two beautiful area based tenures; the Tanizul community forest agreement (CFA K4B) as well as with the new first nations woodland licence (FNWL N2O).
Tanizul offers a competitive compensation package, including much work flexiblity, a pension plan and a health benefits plan.  This position is open until filled.  We are not yet advertising widely because we are hoping to recruit locally to improve the chances of people staying for the longer term.
Summer Field Crew:
Tanizul Timber is again running field crews this summer; a brushing crew and a forestry crew.  We plan to do the same next year.  We will post more information here as we refine the plans for next year.  We encourage all Tl'azt'en youth to continue with their education.  At Tanizul, we will need young people educated in many fields over the coming years; everything from natural resource management to accounting will be valuable.
