Forest Practices Board has Completed its Audit of Tanizul Timber.

During the summer of 2015, the Forest Practices Board (FPB) did a thorough audit (inspection) of our field practices as well as our documentation and reporting practices.  On April 7, 2016, the Forest Practices Board released reporting documents, see below.

For the record, at Tanizul Timber, we take fire hazard assessment and fire hazard abatement very seriously.  Our documentation was poor and we will easily be able to improve on that.  Also, we learned a lot through the audit process.  We realize there is in fact room for improvement in many areas.

Tanizul Continues Planting Large Numbers of Seedlings:

In spring 2015, we planted 1,752,330 seedlings on CFA K4B.  This is a record number of seedlings for Tanizul Timber. Artisan Reforestation Ltd as well as Celtic Reforestation Services Ltd did most of this work.  Also, some of these trees were planted directly by the Tanizul summer crew.  We planted 690,000 seedlings spring 2016 and we have 800,000 seedlings being grown at Woodmere nursery for planting spring 2017.
